JONATHAN E. DEARMAN


Mr. Dearman is the Executive Vice President, responsible for sales and marketing of HSM Inc. He services and overseas the real estate sales department as the lead Real Estate Consultant. He has his California Real Estate Brokers license with 15 years experience in real estate sales and finance. He has helped to successfully market and sell affordable housing units in the San Francisco Bay Area within the Financial District, the Fillmore, and the Bayview. By developing and implementing marketing strategies such as the use of 1-800 numbers and building property specific websites he has sold affordable housing units quickly by effectively screening the onslaught of applicants.  As a Real Estate Consultant, he has made a conscious decision to run his business differently than "traditional salespeople." He strives to deliver first-class service to his clients by compassionately using 100% of his efforts to meet their real estate needs both during and after the transaction.  His goal is to provide an experience that clients will be excited to share with coworkers, family, and friends.


Prior to becoming the Lead Real Estate Consultant at HSM, Mr. Dearman worked as a high school teacher and department coach  for Leadership High School in San Francisco.  While there he developed the Leadership curriculum for the four-year program in the school, managed and supervised other teachers in the department and worked with the administration in hiring and coordinating with outside agencies.  His work an an educator provides the perfect foundation for the first time homebuyer and educational work that is done by HSM and also by Urban HDC.  As profiled in the Dave Eggers book "Teachers Have it Easy: The big Sacrifices and Small Salaries of America's Teachers", throughout his professional life Mr. Dearman has always focused on compassion, community and a commitment when working with people.  This has been the cornerstone of his work as a real estate consultant.


Mr. Dearman has a long history with HSM.  Before working as a teacher, he spent nine years managing and processing all of the brokerage accounts for outstanding loans due to HSM.  Additionally, he managed the property management accounts as well as brokering loans through the company for the refinance and/or purchase of homes in the area.
Mr. Dearman holds his California Real Estate Broker's License, his CLAD single subject social studies credential from the University of San Francisco, and received his bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from the University of San Francisco where he graduated cum laude and on the dean's honor role.

JERALD JOSEPH


Jerald Joseph is the newest addition to the HSM team. Mr. Joseph comes to us from the one of the world's largest and most successful rental car business, Enterprise-Rent-A Car. During his fifteen year career at Enterprise-Rent-A Car, Jerald held positions as Regional Recruiting Manager and Area Rental Manager. He holds many sales and profit records with the ability to develop and mentor his employees to an award winning sales team. One of his most memorable award was that of top performing Area Manager for thirteen straight years. Even though his financial statistics, growth curve and profitability are quite impressive it is his dedication to the entrepreneurial ethic, marketing, and customer service that most distinguishes Jerald from others. He brings proven experience in leadership, strategic planning, customer service, contracts negotiations, tactical and effective sales and marketing execution to the HSM team. He is a relationship builder with an exceptional track record in developing, growing, and retaining satisfied clients.

 

Mr. Joseph dynamic entrepreneurial skill, and his proven success in developing and implementing a solid and consistent sales and marketing plan to secure clients and accounts loyalty, as well as his achievement in training and developing employees, strong work ethic, and leadership skills make him the perfect fit for HSM.
       
Jerald holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Finance. He is the President of the Board of the LaSalle Height Homeowners Association. He is the treasurer of the 94124 Art Gallery,  Board member of the  Arts 94124 Committee, He has served as Vice President of the Mission Merchant Association, board member of the  Enterprise Diversity Counsel  and President of the board of the Enterprise Black Business Advisory Board
